Arthur James Northwood (1880--1949) established a studio in Kaitaia in 1910 which he operated until his death in 1949. He took many photographs of the Far North, including images of gum digging, kauri logging, farming, and views of Kaitaia, Rawene, and other towns in the area. These photographs are a wonderful snapshot in time that show life in the Far North in the early 1900s.
Quality print, framed beautifully in natural wood behind glass, 375mm x 485mm
